The Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel is an initiative of the World Council of Churches.The Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) seeks to support local and international efforts to end the Israeli occupation and bring a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with a just peace, based on international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. Since the program was launched in 2002, accompaniers have participated from more than 30 churches and 14 countries. Accompaniers serve in 3-month terms in international teams placed in Jerusalem and West Bank villages. The EAPPI-US is the US program of the EAPPI and is supported by US national churches in partnership with Church World Service. Supporting churches include: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Evangelical Lutheran Church in America United Church of Christ US accompaniers commit to sharing their experiences through public speaking, writing and advocacy after they return.
